Work hours are usually 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Job assignments are distributed first thing in the morning, so please arrive to the work site early to receive job assignment for the day.

Call the volunteer coordinator at the Habitat office (417-829-4001) to schedule a day to work. Confirm your schedule one or two days prior to the work day to learn what type of work is scheduled.

Wear appropriate work clothes such as long pants, tennis shoes, or hard-toed boots. Bring a cap, a hat or a scarf and gloves. A bandana in your back pocket serves many uses. You might want to bring your own water bottle. Be sure to apply plenty of sun block, and on hot days to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.

Sign in every day, put on a name tag, and let the site coordinator know how long you can work. Please fill out the waiver of liability the first time you come out to volunteer.
